Who are SCNE?

Our specialist service is designed to make living at home easier and more fulfilling for people of all ages, including Adult living with a disability, and adults with a variety of conditions and support needs, including people who are living with dementia. It may just be an extra pair of trained hands for a short period of time to help following a hospital stay or during a carer’s holiday, or it could be more intensive and regular visits for someone who is struggling to look after themselves or has complex health needs. As part of our flexible service, our trained and experienced team members can provide help with medication, housework, home-cooked meals, personal care, companionship, a sitting service providing respite for carers, and support with getting up and going to bed. We also offer support in accessing the local community, with team members helping with the weekly food shopping, collecting prescriptions, accompanying service users to GP or hospital visits, going out for lunch or seeing friends and family and taking day trips to local places on interest. The key to our reliable support is it is delivered at the time you need it, by friendly team members who take pride in their work and are able to provide more or less support as care needs change over time.

Learn why is it worth it

  • To meet assessed needs. Before we provide services, we ensure that a potential service user’s needs and preferences are thoroughly assessed. We aim to ensure that the care the agency provides meets the assessed needs of each service user, that needs are reassessed as frequently as necessary, and that the care and support provided have the flexibility to respond to changing needs or requirements.
  • To provide quality services. We are whole-heartedly committed to providing top quality services and to continuous improvement in the level of the care we offer.
  • To employ a quality workforce. Standards for our managers and staff are based on the national occupational standards for the care industry set by the National Training Organisation.

Leading Edge Care

  • To focus on service users. We aim to provide personal care and support in ways which have positive outcomes for service users and promote their active participation
  • To ensure that we are fit for our purpose. We examine our operations constantly to ensure that we are successfully achieving our stated purposes. We welcome feedback from our service users and their friends and relatives.
  • To work for the comprehensive welfare of our service users. We will co-operate with other services and professionals to help to maximise each service user’s independence and to ensure as fully as possible their maximum participation in their community.

HOW WE CAN HELP

We help thousands of families across the UK with home care every year. Here are some of the ways we make an impact to your lives:

Having a constant source of support means you don’t have to worry about what the next day holds.

A carer can provide valuable, round-the-clock security, especially if you’re living alone.

You will benefit from having a friendly face to keep you company at any time day or night.

Our holistic care plans provide much needed relief to concerned family members.

With bespoke support from our dedicated care team, you can retain your independence in your own home.

You know you’ll be in the expert hands of a compassionate fully-trained carer.

HOW WE CAN HELP

Holistic, person-centred care that is fully tailored around your own needs.

We’ve got over 20 years’ experience in providing compassionate, transformative care to people in the familiar surroundings of their own homes.

We focus on enabling our customers to be dignified, comfortable and independent through a range of practical, physical and emotional support services.

If you’re caring for a loved one but unexpectedly find yourself unable to fulfil your carer responsibilities, we can step in at short notice and ensure they aren’t left isolated or unsupported. Your local care manager will make sure they understand every aspect of your loved one’s care requirements so that the transition is smooth and seamless.

When a loved one near the end of life is due to be discharged from hospital, you may think the only option for them is to move to a nursing home. However, with support from a live-in carer, they can return to the familiar surroundings of the home that they love, where their carer can help them spend their final weeks in relative comfort, dignity and peace.
